Internet Use Policy
At St. Vitus Catholic School, we have established a set of guidelines to ensure understanding of our school Internet Use Policy. We recognize that technology and media change frequently and reserve the right to make updates and changes to this policy, along with all of our policies, at any time. We STRONGLY encourage parents to limit and monitor their student's use of social media and the internet as well as educate themselves and their children on internet safety protocol and etiquette.
*Be polite when sending written/typed messages to another
*Use appropriate language in messages, postings, etc.
*Anything illegal is expressly forbidden
*Do not reveal access information, passwords, personal information, etc.
*Do not disrupt another's use of the internet, technology, etc.
*Keep in mind that all deleted material CAN be retrieved
*Placing unlawful information on the internet
*Using internet for non-school related activity
*Sending or receiving copyrighted material without permission
*Any activity that may result in loss of work or systems
*Any lobbying or activity that does not support the philosophy and teachings of the Catholic Church
*Circumventing security measures
*Falsifying your own or someone else's identity
*Using the internet for commercial purposes
*Sending or receiving pornographic material, inappropriate or dangerous files, viruses, etc.
*Sending violent or threatening messages or material
